The trigger controlled DC Lift Arc ignition allows the arc to be started easily by simply touching the tungsten to the workpiece and lifting it up to start the arc. This stops the tungsten tip sticking to the workpiece and breaking the tip from the tungsten electrode. Convenient LED lighting in the wire feed cabinet to ensure maximum visibility for spool or feed roller changes, in the most demanding light conditions. In MMA (Stick) mode VRD reduces the open-circuit voltage of the inverter.
When the welding machine is on, but not being used (like when you’ve just finished an electrode and need to grab a new one), the VRD kicks in and lowers the voltage to a safer level (usually around 13V)
