Bohler Avesta 2507/P100 (Duplex) Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes

Specially developed to provide maximum resistance against stress corrosion cracking and localised pitting in aggressive, chloride-heavy environments. It successfully passes rigid ASTM G48 testing parameters. Widely used in desalination plants, offshore seawater systems, chemical processing, and paper/pulp manufacturing. Formulated to fully comply with severe petroleum and gas industry requirements.

Features

  • Engineered with a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN ≥ 42), offering maximum defence against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in aggressive chloride environments.
  • The standard rutile-basic coating ensures high arc stability, minimal spatter, and a beautiful bead appearance across all welding positions (except vertical-down).
  • Features self-releasing slag, significantly reducing post-weld cleanup time and minimising the risk of slag inclusions.

Technical Data

  • AWS A5.4 E2594-17
  • EN ISO 3581-A E 25 9 4 N L R 4 2.
  • Features a precise duplex structure containing 45–55% ferrite balanced with austenite.
  • The electrode composition is over-alloyed with 2–3% nickel to ensure the correct ferrite-to-austenite ratio in the weld bead. It boasts a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) of >41.5, guaranteeing excellent defence against pitting
