Bohler Avesta 308L/MVR (Austenitic Steels) Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes
A rutile stainless steel electrode for welding austenitic stainless steels with improved corrosion resistance, ideal for applications requiring high-quality welds. AVESTA 308L/MVR is a rutile-type coated stainless steel electrode designed for welding austenitic stainless steels type 18/8 with low carbon content, can be used for construction of stainless steel tanks, pipelines, industrial stainless steel structures, food and pharmaceutical equipment.
Features
- Rutile-coated E308L-17 / E 19 9 L R stainless steel electrode.
- Ideal for welding standard austenitic stainless grades such as 1.4301, 1.4307, ASTM 304, and 304L.
- Very good resistance against oxidising acids, cold/dilute reducing acids, and inter-crystalline corrosion up to 350°C (660°F).
- Austenite contains 5% to 10% ferrite for crack resistance.
- All positions except vertical-down
