Bohler Fox Black (Creep Resistant) Low Alloy Steel Stick Electrodes
Bohler Fox Black is a specialised, low-alloy steel stick electrode featuring a very thick acidic flux coating explicitly engineered for welding creep-resistant steels. The deposited weld metal contains roughly 0.5% Molybdenum (Mo), forming a high-toughness micro-structure of acicular ferrite and bainite.
Features
- Ideal for long-term high-temperature operations up to 550°C. Commonly utilised for 16Mo3 boilers, high-strength fine-grain steels, and pipelines.
- Basic-coated variant offering 115% metal recovery and excellent low-temperature notch toughness down to -50°C.
