Bohler Fox C 9 MV LNi (Creep Resistant) Low Alloy Steel Stick Electrodes
The Bohler Fox C 9 MV LNi are engineered with restricted Nickel and Manganese content (Mn + Ni < 1.2 wt.%). This precise chemical composition keeps the \(A_{c1}\) transformation temperature safely above 780 °C. This ensures that the weldment can undergo necessary post-weld heat treatments (PWHT) without accidentally re-austenitising the structural matrix, preserving long-term creep rupture strength.
Features
- Joint welding of identical creep-resistant steels and cast steels used heavily in thermal power plants, boilers, turbine manufacturing, and chemical processing.
- Stable arc, low spattering, outstanding slag detachability, and highly responsive striking/re-striking properties.
- Can be used in all standard positions except vertical-down
Technical Data
- AWS A5.5 E9015-B91 (modified for strict trace/low-Ni thresholds).
- EN ISO 3580-A: E CrMo91 B 4 2 H5.
- Very low diffusible hydrogen (HD < 4 ml / 100 g), minimising cold-cracking risks.
- Low levels of harmful trace elements yielding a Bruscato Factor (X-Factor) < 15, preventing temper embrittlement.
- Extensively long-time creep rupture tested and approved for service temperatures up to 650 °C
