Bohler Fox CN 13/1 (Martensitic Steels) Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes
Basic-coated electrode, is suitable for welding similar corrosion-resistant, martensitic, and martensitic-ferritic rolled, forged, and cast steels. Ductility is enhanced by nickel alloying. Its corrosion resistance is similar to that of compatible 13Cr(Ni) steels. It ensures easy slag removal and a smooth weld bead appearance. It can be used in all welding positions except the vertical-down position.
Features
- Yields excellent toughness, high tensile strength, and cracking resistance despite the inherently hard, martensitic microstructure of the material.
- Ensures easy slag removal and a smooth weld bead appearance.
- It can be used in all welding positions except the vertical-down position.
Technical Data
- Carefully balanced Chromium-Nickel matrix (typically ~12% Cr, 1%–1.5% Ni)
- Basic, which ensures an exceptionally low content of diffusible hydrogen in the final weld metal to heavily resist cold cracking
