Bohler Fox CN 17/4 PH (Special Applications & Dissimilar Joints) Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes
These specialised electrodes deliver a weld deposit that combines high mechanical strength, excellent toughness, and reliable corrosion resistance. Used in industries aerospace & automotive- structural, engine components requiring high strength-to-weight & corrosion resistance, power & processing-compressor impellers, heavy-duty pumps, valve parts in the chemical & food industries, pulp & paper-refiner cones, discs, impact pieces subject to intense mechanical stress and wear.
Features
- Operates in all standard welding positions except vertical-down.
- Requires keeping interpass temperatures low (maximum 80°C) during multi-pass welding.
- Capable of matching base metal mechanical strength and sub-zero toughness down to -50°C when paired with correct post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) involving solution annealing and precipitation hardening
Technical Data
- Extremely low hydrogen weld deposit (HD ≤ 5 ml/100 g), preventing hydrogen-induced cracking
