Bohler Fox CN 29/9 (Special Applications & Dissimilar Joints) Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes
Rutile coated, core wire alloyed electrode of E 29 9 R / E312-17 type. Highly alloyed electrode with high ferrite content offer high tensile strength and excellent resistance to cracking. Primarily intended for dissimilar welding between stainless steel, high strength steel, tool steel; spring steel and 14Mn-steel as well as other dif?cult-to-weld combinations. The weld metal work hardens making it suitable for wear-resisting build-ups on clutches, gear wheels, shafts, etc. Also suitable for repair and maintenance; for instance, welding of tools. Designed for ?rst class weld seems and easy handling on AC or DC+. Very good corrosion resistance in wet sulphuric environments, such as in sulphate digesters used by the pulp & paper industry.
Features
- Runs smoothly on both AC and DC+ polarities.
- Features a rutile coating that delivers a very stable, smooth arc with minimal spatter.
- The slag lifts or peels away easily on cooling, drastically reducing clean-up and post-weld grinding time.
- Produces finely rippled, smooth weld beads with excellent wetting action and sidewall fusion, even in out-of-position welds.
