Bohler Fox DMO Ti (Creep Resistant) Low Alloy Steel Stick Electrodes
The Bohler FOX DMO Ti stick electrode is a core-wire alloy electrode with a rutile coating. The weld metal of this electrode type, which corresponds to type 0.5Mo, has a microstructure of acicular ferrite and bainite. Thanks to its advantageous mechanical properties, it is suitable for use both in the welding condition and after heat treatment. This electrode is used in a wide range of welding applications, from joining similar heat-resistant steels and cast steels to joining high-strength structural, fine-grained, and pipeline steels. The stick electrode is particularly well-suited for welding workpieces with wall thicknesses up to 30 mm and for welding root passes. Böhler FOX DMO Ti is approved for long-term use at temperatures up to 550°C. The special coating of this electrode, which is matched to the core wire, is characterized by excellent slag solubility and can be used in both DC and AC operation.
