The Bohler Fox EV 105 are premium basic coated, low alloy stick electrodes(SMAW) engineered for joining ultra high strength, fine grained constructional steels. It is specifically formulated to provide exceptional crack resistance and high impact toughness in heavily restrained structural joints.

Features

  • Designed for ultra-high-yield strength applications, matching steels with minimum yield strengths around 890 MPa. 
  • The NiCrMo-alloyed core wire provides an optimal balance of extreme tensile strength and weld metal ductility. 
  • Carries an H5 designation, ensuring a maximum diffusible hydrogen content of ≤ 5 ml/100g of weld metal. This strictly minimizes the risk of hydrogen-induced cold cracking (HICC). 
  • Formulated to maintain reliable Charpy V-Notch impact energies at temperatures down to -40°C. 
  • Delivers a highly stable arc, efficient metal recovery, and clean slag release. It is usable in all positions except vertical-down
