Bohler Fox EV 55 (Basic Low Hydrogen) Mild Steel Electrodes
The Bohler Fox EV 55 are a premium coated, low hydrogen stick electrode designed for high integrity joint welds on mild to higher strength structural steels up to 460MPa yield strength, offering exceptional sub-zero impact toughness down to −50 °C.
Features
- Delivers reliable impact energy and cryogenic ductility at temperatures as low as −50 °C.
- Features an "R" design rating, slowing moisture re-absorption and helping preserve electrode integrity.
- Performs exceptionally well in all welding positions except for vertical-down.
- Widely used in heavy steel construction, pressure vessel and boiler manufacturing, shipbuilding, and mechanical engineering, as well as for buffer layers on high-carbon steels.
- Sour gas/HIC resistant (NACE TM-02-84 approved)
