Bohler Fox EV 63 (High Strength) Low Alloy Steel Stick Electrodes
Basically encased rod electrode for non-alloyed and low-alloyed steels higher strength and a carbon content of up to 0.6%. Approved by the DB for rail shock welding. Tough and tear-resistant welding material. Welding material application approx. 115% Good welding in all positions with the exception of the drop seam. Very low hydrogen content in the welding material (under AWS conditions HD <4 ml/100 g) combined with a moisture-resistant cover. Dry system: the alternative to cost-intensive, air-conditioned storage and handling is called Böhler Welding Dry System, which delivers "oven-dry" rod electrodes directly from vacuum packaging. This eliminates the need for re-drying, drying cabinets and heated quivers and avoids the risk of hydrogen cracks.
Features
- Highly reliable for structural fabrication with a carbon content of up to 0.6%.
- Features a moisture-resistant coating that yields less than 4 ml of hydrogen per 100 g of weld metal, reducing the risk of Hydrogen-Induced Cold Cracking (HICC).
- Provides approximately 115% metal recovery for faster deposition.
- Easy to manipulate across all positions except for vertical-down.
- Maintains high impact toughness at service temperatures ranging from -60°C to +350°C
