Bohler Fox EV 70 (High Strength) Low Alloy Steel Stick Electrodes

Basic-coated, Mo-Ni-alloyed electrode with high ductility and crack resistance for applications on fine-grained steel grades with high strength. Suitable for service temperatures between -60°C and +350°C. Metal recovery approx. 115%. Easy to handle in all positions except vertical down. very low hydrogen content (according to AWS-condition HD < 4 ml/100 g weld metal).

Features

  • Low diffusible hydrogen level protects against hydrogen-induced cold cracking in high-tensile steels.
  • Easy puddle control in all directions except for vertical-down.
  • Often distributed in secure vacuum packaging , meaning the rods can be welded straight out of the box without needing an on-site re-drying oven

Technical Data

  • AWS A5.5: E9018-G / E9018-D1 (mod.)
  • EN ISO 18275-A: E 55 3 MnMo B T 4 2 H10.
  • Exceptional ductility and crack resistance across an operating temperature range of -60°C to +350°C.
  • Yields approximately 115% metal recovery.
  • Commonly used for high-strength steel grades such as S460N, S460M, S460Q-S555Q, P460N, and API 5L X60 through X80
