Bohler Fox K 55 (Basic Low Hydrogen) Mild Steel Electrodes
The Bohler Fox K 55 are un-alloyed, basic low hydrogen stick electrodes engineered for high strength & crack resistant joints in general steel, pressure vessels & specialised railway track construction.
Features
- Yields an exceptionally clean, high-purity weld pool that minimises the risk of hydrogen-induced cold cracking
- Delivers superb notch toughness and impact energy resistance down to –40 °C (~160 Joules), crucial for structural safety in freezing climates
- Specially designed to match and structurally connect heavy base materials with high tensile strengths reaching up to 1080 MPa.
- excellent control and arc stability across all configurations, excluding vertical-down.
- Functions optimally with standard Alternating Current (AC) as well as Direct Current positive polarity (DC+).
- Carries certified industrial compliance standards and approvals from TÜV, DB (Deutsche Bahn), and CE for commercial railway infrastructure
