Bohler Fox NiCuCr (High Strength) Low Alloy Steel Stick Electrodes

The Bohler Fox NiCuCr are premium, basic coated low alloy steel stick electrodes engineered specifically for welding weather resistant structural steels like corten, patinax, coraldur, & korralpin. Its unique chemical composition ensures that the weld metal forms the same protective, corrosion-resistant rusty patina over time as the surrounding base metal, making the weld visually identical and highly durable.

Features

  • Matches the atmospheric corrosion resistance of Corten and other weathering steels.
  • The weld metal oxidises at the same rate as the base metal, preventing visible seams.
  • Features an H4 R designation, ensuring less than 4 ml of diffusible hydrogen per 100g to prevent cold cracking.
  • Maintains excellent Charpy V-notch impact strength down to -40°C.
  •  The moisture-resistant coating reduces the risk of moisture pick-up during storage.
  •  Provides excellent arc stability and puddle control in all positions except vertical-down.

Technical Data

  • AWS A5.5 / SFA-5.5: E8018-W2 H4R
  • EN ISO 2560-A: E 46 4 Z1NicrCu B 4 2 H5
  • Diffusible Hydrogen: Ultra-low (HD ≤ 4 ml/100 g of weld metal) to eliminate hydrogen-induced cold cracking.
  • Metal Recovery: Approximately 115%
