Bohler Fox SAS 2 (Austenitic Steel) Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes

Basic coated stabilised electrode of E 19 9 Nb B / E347-15 type. Mainly for welding titanium and niobium-stabilised 1.4541 / 321 and 1.4546 / 347 austenitic stainless-steel grades. Designed to produce first class weld deposits with reliable CVN impact toughness values down to –196 °C. Good gap bridging ability, very good root pass and excellent X-ray safety. Good welding characteristics in all positions except vertical-down with easy weld pool and slag control as well as easy slag removal. Clean bead surfaces and minimum post-weld cleaning. An excellent electrode for welding on site and for heavy and rigid components. Max. service temperature 400 °C.

Features

  • Exceptional Arc Behaviour: Delivers a highly stable arc paired with minimal spatter formation during operation.
  • Self-Releasing Slag: Slag system is designed to peel off easily, leaving a smooth, clean weld profile that dramatically reduces post-weld cleaning time.
  • All-Position Usability: Supports welding across all standard positions except for vertical-down

Technical Data

  • Steel Compatibility: Specially developed for matching stabilised grade steels such as AISI 321 (1.4541) and AISI 347 (1.4546).
  • Temperature Resistance: Operating temperature limits extend up to 400°C.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Niobium stabilisation prevents chromium carbide precipitation, safeguarding against inter-granular corrosion
  • AWS A5.4 / SFA-5.4, E347-15
