Bohler Phoenix 120 K (Basic Low Hydrogen) Mild Steel Electrodes
Bohler Poenix 120 K basic low hydrogen electrodes have great welding characteristics including out-of-position work; 120% weld metal recovery, H2-content in the weld metal <5ml/100g, very pure cryogenic weld metal at temperatures as low as -50c (-58f); CTOD tested up to -10c (14f). Suitable for use in structural steelworks, boiler making, tank construction, ship and bridge building and vehicle manufacture. Particularly suitable for welding fine-grained structural steels, excellent weldability on offshore steels. It delivers exceptional impact toughness at low temperatures, making it a reliable choice for heavily loaded structures and critical engineering projects.
Features
- Extremely clean weld profile with diffuse hydrogen levels < 5 ml / 100 g, significantly minimising the risk of hydrogen-induced cold cracking.
- Maintained impact strength and resistance to cold cracking down to temperatures as low as -50°C.
- Formally Crack Tip Opening Displacement (CTOD) tested up to -10°C.
- Delivers efficient 110% to 120% metal recovery, maximising material deposition during use.
- Operates seamlessly on both AC and DC+ currents.
- Suitable for all-position welding except vertical-down (PG
