Bohler Thermanit 30/10 W (Special Applications & Dissimilar Joints) Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes
Rutile-coated electrode of type E 29 9 R / E312-16. Wet corrosion up to 300°C. High resistance to hot cracks and good toughness at high yield strength. For joining and surfacing with matching and similar steel grades. For manufacture of tough joints on unalloyed and low-alloyed structural steel with higher strength, on high-manganese and CrNiMn-steel, between different metals, e.g. between stainless steel or heat-resistant and unalloyed or low-alloyed steel and cast steel grades.
Features
- High ferrite content in its micro-structure, the weld metal features an incredibly high resistance to hot cracking and structural elongation stresses.
- It provides heavy-duty mechanical reliability, boasting an as-welded tensile strength of approximately 750 MPa paired with excellent toughness at high yield strength.
- The weld metal work-hardens under impact and friction, making it suitable for tough, wear-resistant build-ups.
- It stands up cleanly against wet corrosion environments at service temperatures up to 300°C (572°F).
