Bohler UTP 630 (Joining & Repair-Stainless steels) Special application Stick Electrodes
Rutile-coated, fully austenitic stick electrode for repair welding of alloyed construction and heat-treated steel. Welding also in combination with austenitic CrNi-steel. Also welding of Scaling-resistant steel for service temperatures up to 850º C as well as materials with higher carbon content and steel with high manganese content, also in combination with other steel grades. For surfacing on workpieces exposed to slag, pressure and rolling wear, such as curved rails, switches, crusher and excavator teeth. Also provides the crack-resistant buffer layers under hard alloys.
Features
- Fully austenitic, highly crack-resistant, and work-hardenable.
- Approx. 200 HB in the untreated (as-welded) state; rises to approx. 350 HB when work-hardened.
- Scale-resistant and corrosion-resistant up to 850°C.
- Features a stable arc, smooth slag removal, and produces a finely rippled, homogeneous bead profile
