Bohler Wearstick Dur 350 (Wear Protection Difficult to weld-Multi Purpose) Stick Electrodes
Bohler wearstick Dur 350 (also known as UTP DUR 350) are basic coated stick electrodes for crack-proof, wear-resistant surfacing. Hardness of the weld metal approx. 370 HB. Wearstick Dur 350 is particularly suited for wear resistant surfacings on Mn-Cr-V alloyed parts, such as frogs, track rollers, chain support rolls, sprocket wheels, guide rolls etc.
Features
- The basic coating provides a low-hydrogen weld deposit, minimising the risk of underbead cracking on difficult-to-weld or heavy steel sections.
- Delivers a typical pure weld metal hardness of ~370 HB (Brinell), rising to ~420 HB on the first layer when applied to high-carbon (0.5% C) steels.
- Specially formulated to withstand intense rolling loads, heavy compression, and moderate abrasive wear without chipping or spalling.
- Despite its wear resistance, the weld metal can still be machined and reshaped using tungsten carbide (carbide-tipped) tools.
- Features excellent arc stability and slag control, allowing smooth welding characteristics in multiple positions.
- Operates reliably on both Direct Current Positive (DC+) and Alternating Current (AC) power sources.
