Bohler Wearstick Dur 650 (Wear protection Difficult to weld-Multi Purpose) Stick Electrodes
Bohler Wearstick DUR 650 (UTP DUR 650) are basic coated, tough-hard, abrasion-resistant hardfacing stick electrode. Hardness of the weld metal approx. 60 HRC, can be utilised on earthmoving and mining excavator buckets, dozer blades, scraper components, and crusher jaws or cones. Industrial Tools - surfacing cold and hot working tools or structural parts subjected to heavy friction and compressive impact.
Features
- Offers excellent arc stability, producing a finely rippled bead formation with minimal spatter, allowing for uniform build-up.
- Formulated for hassle-free slag release, minimising cleanup time between passes.
- The basic flux coating ensures a low-hydrogen deposit with exceptional crack resistance, making it suitable for structural parts under high pressure stress.
- Engineered specifically to resist severe mineral abrasion combined with high impact and compression.
Technical Data
- EN ISO 14700: E Fe8
- Martensitic steel hardfacing alloy (often corresponding to legacy UTP Dur 650 Kb formulations)
- Approx. 58 – 60 HRC (pure weld deposit)
- ~24 HRC for 1 layer, up to ~45 HRC for 2 layers
- Grind finish only; the weld deposit cannot be machined by standard cutting tools
