Bohler Wearstick Hydrocav (Wear Protection Difficult to weld-Multi Purpose) Stick Electrodes
Bohler Wearstick Hydrocav are basic-coated stick electrode designed for tough surfacing applications to protect components against rolling wear and cavitation, these basic-coated stick electrodes (MMA / manual metal arc) are hardfacing and wear-resistant surface cladding. Specifically formulated to resist rolling wear, heavy compressive loads, and hydraulic cavitation stress commonly found on hydro-power components (such as water turbines and flow channels).
Features
- Formulated specifically to combat hydraulic cavitation wear, erosion, and heavy rolling stress.
- Designed for high-quality claddings on parts typically categorised as "difficult to weld" or prone to cracking under extreme compression.
- Features a stable, regular flow and easy slag removal, leaving a clean, highly uniform weld bead appearance.
Technical Data
- EN ISO 14700, E Z Fe9
- Weld metal yields an initial hardness of approx. 21 HRC, which significantly escalates to approx. 50 HRC after work-hardening under operation.
