Miller 281009 Digital Elite™ Gear Box™ Welding Helmet
Industry-leading helmet provides high-performance versatility. Features ClearLight™ Lens Technology.
This Miller exclusive technology optimizes contrast & clarity in various welding applications/lights.
It has a 1/1/1/2 optical clarity rating, allowing for a lighter shade when the user is not welding. This means the welder can keep their helmet down at all times ensuring safety & productivity during the welding job.
Features of the Miller Welding Helmet Digital Elite Gear Box
- ClearLight™ 2.0 Lens Technology provides advanced high-definition
optics for the most realistic view that’s clearer and brighter – before,
during and after every weld. - InfoTrack™ 2.0 tracks and displays arc time and arc count.
- AutoSense™ reduces issues related to setting helmet sensitivity by allowing the welder to push and hold the AutoSense button to
automatically set the helmet sensitivity for their environment. - Four arc sensors and four modes: weld, cut, grind and X-Mode. X-Mode electromagnetically senses the weld to reduce sunlight
interference and continuously detects the arc even if sensors are blocked. - Digital controls easily allow welder to make precise lens adjustments to shade, delay and sensitivity.
- Memory function for easy switching between two preset customized memory settings.
- Half-shade settings for precise lens adjustment.
Four Arc Sensors and Four different modes:
- Welding shade 8-13
- Cutting shade 5-8
- Grinding shade 3
- X-Mode shade 8-13 (this mode monitors the weld using electromagnetic technology and removes any sunlight interference while continuing to detect the weld arc.
The Miller Welding Helmet Digital Elite Gear Box Helmet uses generation Legacy Headgear. It has a comfort cushion and also uses an ergonomic design, providing the welder comfort while welding and a range of settings that they can adjust.
The welder can adjust shade, delay & sensitivity using the Digital Controls on the Miller Welding Helmet.
This is a Miller Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet, meaning the helmet will automatically turn on or off at the strike of an arc.
What are the advantages of an automatic welding helmet?
- The quality of your welding output will be improved because there is no need to change the positioning of the torch.
- You will be less likely to have bad starts when you start the weld because the need to continually nodding your head forward to drop the welding shield is minimized.
- Reduced neck strain.
- When working in tighter spots will be easier as you don’t need to raise this helmet.
- Reduced risk of arc flashes because of the fast switching time of the lens.
