Thermacut Electrodes 45TTH/M - 105/125RTXH/M Plasma Torches
This pack of 5 replacement electrodes designed for FHT-EX45TTH/M & FHT-EX105RTXH/M & 125RTXH/M plasma torch, supplied with Thermacut Ex-Trafire 65SD, 75SD, 100SD and 105HD plasma cutters. Each EX-5-402-030 electrode supports plasma cutting, thermal heating, and gouging applications.
Electrodes are among one of the most frequently replaced parts in plasma torches. The electrode delivers power to the plasma arc, with a Hafnium insert at the tip that withstands extreme heat. Over time, the insert will slowly erode away, forming a small hole in the electrode tip. This is a clear sign it’s time for replacement.
WHEN TO REPLACE: Changing the electrode is recommended once the pit in the tip reaches approx. 1mm in depth. Failure to replace an electrode can cause a blowout which will damage both the electrode and nozzle. If you need to slow down the cutting speed, are experiencing green discoloration of the arc or the arc is misfiring it is time to change the electrode.
