Bohler Thermanit GE316L is a premium-quality stainless steel solid MIG welding wire developed for welding and surfacing austenitic stainless steels such as 316, 316L and similar CrNiMo stainless steel grades. Manufactured to the highest standards by Bohler Welding, this low-carbon ER316LSi wire provides outstanding corrosion resistance, excellent weldability, and a smooth, stable arc for high-quality welds in demanding industrial applications.
Thermanit GE316L offers excellent wetting characteristics, reduced spatter, and a superior weld bead appearance, making it ideal for food processing equipment, pharmaceutical installations, chemical processing plant, marine fabrication, and architectural stainless steel applications. The low carbon composition helps minimise the risk of intergranular corrosion after welding, while maintaining excellent mechanical properties and resistance to temperatures up to 400°C.
