Bohler AL MG 4,5 MN is a solid welding wire for MIG welding of AlMg alloys with high demands on strength and notch toughness. The weld metal is corrosion-resistant to seawater. Material finds its application in shipbuilding, tank construction etc. including the welding of high-strength alloys such as Alustar®. It is recommended to thoroughly clean workpieces and pre-heat thicker sheet material to approx. 150ºC.
