Bohler FOXcore 309L-T0 is a Flux-cored wire, E 309L type, high-alloyed, austenitic stainless, special applications for dissimilar joints of Cr and CrNi(Mo)- steels, unalloyed or low-alloyed steels and for cladding of unalloyed or low-alloyed base metals, preferably in flat or horizontal position. Specifically formulated for joining dissimilar steels, including stainless to carbon or low-alloy steels, making it an indispensable asset for fabrication, construction, and repair applications. Its low carbon content (309L) significantly reduces the risk of carbide precipitation, ensuring robust corrosion resistance in demanding environments. It is important to note that this is a gas shielded flux cored wire, and requires the use of a shielding gas, typically an Argon/CO2 mixture, to achieve optimal welding results.
