The Redrock RRW40-60-PP-31-F-E is a heavy-duty 40 tonne conventional welding rotator set consisting of one powered drive unit & one idler unit. It is engineered to support, rotate, and position large cylindrical workpieces, such as pressure vessels, tanks, and large diameter pipes during manual or automated welding processes.
This robust conventional rotator system is built for stability and longevity. While as a 40-tonne unit, the set boasts an exceptional total rotation capacity of 60 tonnes, providing an operational margin for diverse projects.
The precision is the units high-traction, durable Polyurethane (PU) roller system (ø520mm x 200mm). These rollers, specified to a Shore ‘A’ hardness of 90-95, minimise the risk of workpiece damage, slippage, and distortion, particularly critical when working with polished or sensitive materials. Furthermore, the electronic variable speed control provides an infinitely adjustable roller speed range from 130mm/min up to 1300mm/min, allowing welders to fine-tune the rotation speed precisely to the required welding process.
The Redrock 40t Rotator Set offers versatility, accommodating minimum vessel diameters of ø470mm and expanding to manage diameters up to ø7580mm. This system elevates operational efficiency, enhances welder productivity, and guarantees the highest standard of repetitive weld quality, establishing it as an essential component in any serious heavy vessel fabrication facility.
