Bohler Avesta 316L/SKR (Austenitic Steels) Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes
Rutile-coated, low-carbon, core wire alloy electrode type E 19 12 3 LR / E316L-17 is suitable for welding 1.4404 and 1.4436 / 316L
type stainless steels in all positions. Furthermore, Böhler Avesta 316L/SKR electrode technology ensures high performance in welding applications with these alloys. The weld metal offers good resistance to general corrosion, pitting, and inter-granular corrosion in chloride-containing environments; for example, it is suitable for applications in dilute hot acids.
The micro-structure of the resulting weld metal is austenite with 5–10% ferrite.
