Bohler Fox CN 22/9 N (Duplex) Stainless Steel Stick Electrodes
Rutile coated stainless steel electrode designed for welding ferritic-austenitic duplex steels, such as 1.4462 and UNS 31803. It is commonly used in off-shore engineering and the chemical industry, where high mechanical strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance are required.
Fox CN 22/9 N offers excellent positional weldability, making it ideal for pipe welding. It also has good wetting characteristics, slag removability, and resistance to porosity. The weld metal has a fully alloyed core wire that provides excellent corrosion resistance and a homogeneous micro-structure with specified ferrite contents of 30-60 FN (WRC) and a Pitting Resistance Equivalent (PREN) of > 35.
