The increased ferrite content (FN~19) in the weld metal deposit enables high crack resistance with materials that are less suitable for welding. Particularly easy processing with very good seam appearance, both with direct and alternating current. Self-lifting slag. For application temperatures from -60ºC to 300ºC, for 1st layer weld cladding up to 400ºC.

- Ideal for linking carbon steels, mild steels, or low-alloy construction steels directly to stainless steels.
- Frequently applied as the introductory buffer layer or root pass on clad steels before laying down standard 316/316L filler materials.
- Used for hard-to-weld or high-carbon steels that are highly sensitive to hot-cracking
- Chipping and clean-up time are drastically minimised because the slag easily lifts off by itself as it cools.
- Produces minimal spatter, a stable arc, and a very clean, aesthetically uniform weld bead profile
