Bohler Fox Multifer 180 (High Recovery) Mild Steel Stick Electrodes

Bohler Fox Multifer 180 are premier coated rutile iron powder stick electrodes engineered specifically for high efficiency, high speed manual metal arc welding of mild & non alloy steels. These electrodes have an 180% weld metal recovery yield, this means for every core wire melted, the iron powder in the thick coating provides 80% additional deposit material, resulting in incredibly high deposition rates that dramatically cut down fabrication time. Because it excels at high-volume welding on heavy steel plate assemblies, it is extensively used across shipbuilding, structural steel fabrication, heavy machinery manufacturing, and mechanical engineering.

Features
  • The iron-powder coating ensures ultra-fast travel speeds and highly efficient cavity filling, making it the perfect choice for filling thick V-butt joints and laying down long fillet welds.
  • Welders benefit from exceptional arc-striking and re-striking capabilities. It produces minimal spatter, functions beautifully via contact (drag) welding, and burns with a highly stable arc.
  • In most cases, the slag lifts or detaches entirely on its own as it cools, reducing post-weld cleanup time to a minimum.
  • Delivers a clean, finely rippled weld profile that is structurally sound and free from edge undercuts
Technical Data
  • AWS A5.1 / SFA-5.1 as E7024
  • EN ISO 2560-A as E 42 0 RR 7 3
  • Rutile-iron powder
  • 180% high efficiency
  • Limited strictly to Flat (PA) and Horizontal Fillet (PB) positions. (It cannot be used for vertical or overhead welding due to its highly fluid, high-deposition puddle).
  • Works smoothly on both Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC+)
