Bohler UTP 80 M (Corrosion Protection) Nickel Copper Stick Electrodes
Basic coated stick electrode for corrosion resistant nickel- copper alloys (400), suitable for joining nickel-copper alloys and steels clad with nickel-copper. It provides excellent corrosion resistance, smooth arc stability, and clean welds, even in marine and chemical environments. The electrode is alloyed with NiCu (approx. Cu 29%), delivering outstanding resistance to saltwater corrosion, thermal fatigue, and atmospheric oxidation. Its basic coating ensures low hydrogen diffusion, contributing to crack-free welds and high joint quality. Primary applications are welding of nickel-copper alloys (e.g., Monel 400, Alloy 450), joining carbon steel or low alloy steel to nickel-copper clad materials, shipbuilding, desalination plants, offshore platforms, petrochemical and chemical plant components, heat exchangers, condensers, and marine pumps.
