Bohler UTP 80 Ni (Corrosion Protection) Pure Nickel Stick Electrodes
Basic coated pure nickel stick electrodes, designed for joining and surfacing commercial pure nickel grades and nickel alloys with high resistance to harsh chemical environments, the weld metal has an excellent resistance in a lot of corrosive medias, from acid to alkali solutions.
Features
- Provides exceptional protection against corrosion in aggressive environments, particularly in alkaline media (such as caustic soda) and non-oxidising acids.
- The pure nickel weld metal maintains high electrical and thermal conductivity, matching the properties of the base material.
- The basic coating delivers a stable arc, easy slag removal, and a clean weld bead appearance.
- Engineered to offer high resistance to hot cracking, ensuring structural integrity under thermal stress.
- Suitable for joining pure nickel, low-carbon nickel alloys, cladding steels, and making dissimilar joints between nickel and steel.
