Weldfast MMA1210 Earth Clamp c/w Stud Magnetic 300Amp
An affordable round shape magnetic earth clamp for welding, rated up to 300A. A magnetic earth clamp is a good alternative to a standard crocodile or earth clamp with jaws where clamping onto the job is not possible.
This magnetic earth clamp simply magnetises to the work piece or welding table. The earth lead is attached to the clamp using a lug on the cable which is secured to the top of the magnet by the stud and nut supplied.
The magnet earth connection can be used for MIG, TIG or Stick welding.
A lot of welding related issues can be traced back to a bad earth, so its always worthwhile checking condition and replacing if required. The earth clamp and welding leads should be suitably rated to the machine being used. If too much current passes through the lead, it will get hot, can get damaged and could be a fire risk.
