Weldfast MMA1206 Earth Clamp Cast Jaws Screw Type 600Amps
A screw type earth clamp with cast jaws rated up to 600A. Suitable for any welding earth return lead, these screw type clamps simply tighten up onto the job much like a G clamp. A screw type earth clamp can be securely tightened onto the workpiece.
The earth lead is attached to the clamp with grub screws, clamping onto the copper strands of the cable.
Can be used for MIG, TIG or Stick welding.
A lot of welding related issues can be traced back to a bad earth, so its always worthwhile checking condition and replacing if required. The earth clamp and welding leads should be suitably rated to the machine being used. If too much current passes through the lead, it will get hot, can get damaged and could be a fire risk.
